This 2023 boss-rush game started off as a college project in late 2020. As the theme was 'randomness' and my favourite game at the time was Cuphead, I knew I had to give this type of game a go.
This 2023 boss-rush game started off as a college project in late 2020. As the theme was 'randomness' and my favourite game at the time was Cuphead, I knew I had to give this type of game a go.
After the first fight was complete, I was also complete and contempt with the game in early 2021 to leave it as a small arcade like project. It only occured to me a whole year and a half later in 2022 that making silly boss fights was the most fun I had while making games. With some motivation from friends and the reception I got from my college as well as the nomination in the BAFTA Young Game Designers Awards, I made sure to get the game to a proper and commercially releasable state.
